Job summary

PCL Construction, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Risk Manager in the Civil West scope. You will provide technical leadership, evaluate geotechnical risk, and translate subsurface conditions into accurate estimates and methods.

The role focuses on preconstruction risk management, cost certainty for site work, and collaboration across estimating, planning, and design to mitigate constructability risks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10–15 years in heavy civil construction or major underground/site work projects.
• Experience in preconstruction, estimating and risk management.
• Ability to translate geotechnical data into practical construction decisions.

Responsibilities

• Lead geotechnical due diligence, interpretation and risk evaluation for estimates.
• Develop estimating approaches for earthwork, deep foundations and tunneling.
• Collaborate with designers and geotechnical engineers to reduce risk.
• Support handoff from preconstruction to operations with clear documentation.
