Job summary

MBP (McDonough Bolyard Peck) is seeking a project risk consultant to support qualitative and quantitative risk management across federal, state/local government, education, healthcare, and transit sectors. You will lead or support risk assignments through the full lifecycle and coordinate with teams to identify risks and develop risk reports and registers.

The role requires experience in facilitating risk interviews/workshops, knowledge of CPM scheduling (Primavera P6), and familiarity with risk

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in an industry-related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Detailed knowledge of construction, construction management principles, and project controls.
  • Recent experience/technical competence in risk identification, analysis and management for projects and programs of similar scope.
  • Knowledge of scheduling, cost estimating, documentation, contract administration, and construction techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Lead or support project risk management assignments from inception through final completion.
  • Develop risk management plan and risk registers.
  • Coordinate with project teams and stakeholders to identify risks and develop risk reports and registers.
  • Facilitate risk interviews, risk workshops, and regular risk meetings.
  • Develop and utilize a Probability and Impact Matrix to rate risks by probability and impact.
  • Perform quantitative cost and schedule risk analysis.
  • Assist with prioritization of risks for further analysis.
  • Identify, analyze, track and provide guidance with respect to actions to manage and/or mitigate risks.
  • Assist construction and project managers to monitor the risk process for new, changing, and outdated risks.
