PCL Construction Services, Inc. in Denver, CO is hiring a Preconstruction Manager to drive bid strategies, cost estimation, and risk management on major projects. You will oversee design development, budgets, and schedule coordination with multiple stakeholders.

The role requires extensive experience in complex pursuits, mastery of construction methods, and leadership of a project estimation team within a self-perform environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
• 15+ years in progressive construction cost estimating on major projects.
• Led pursuits valued at $250M+ in hard bid / design-build contexts.
• Experience with self-perform environments and productivity management.
• Design management experience (building and civil).
• Strong understanding of contract terms across delivery models.

Responsibilities

• Analyze contract documents and specs for bids and identify risk factors.
• Develop win and fee strategy for large or complex projects.
• Lead conceptual estimate/design-build bids with client-focused complexity.
• Monitor pursuit schedules and prequalification processes.
• Mentor and guide a team of estimators and support staff.
• Provide budget updates and risk mitigation plans throughout the project.
