Job summary
NV5, Inc. is seeking a Project Geologist / Project Engineer to support geotechnical and lab services across residential, commercial, municipal, transportation, and infrastructure projects in Northern California and the Sierra Nevada region.

Qualifications
- BS/MS in Geology, Engineering Geology, Geological Engineering, or related geoscience; or in Civil/Geotechnical engineering as applicable.
- 3–7+ years of geotechnical engineering, engineering geology, construction materials testing, or consulting experience preferred.
- Experience independently performing field investigations and preparing technical reports.
Responsibilities
- Plan and perform geotechnical and geologic field investigations.
- Coordinate drilling, excavation, sampling, and subcontractors.
- Log soil and rock encountered in borings, test pits, trenches, and excavations.
- Prepare geotechnical engineering and engineering geology reports, memos, and letters.
- Review grading/foundation/retaining wall plans for geotechnical conformance.
- Provide construction-phase geotechnical consultation and field observations.
