Job summary

EVS, Inc. is seeking a Geotechnical Project Engineer to join our growing renewable energy and infrastructure practice.

You will manage geotechnical projects from investigation through construction, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams on utility-scale solar, BESS, substations, and related civils. The role requires 3+ years of geotechnical experience, a Civil/Geotechnical Engineering degree, and strong reporting and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (Geotechnical preferred) and 3+ years of geotechnical experience.
• Experience managing multiple projects with strong analytical skills.
• PE license or ability to obtain within one year preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Office and common geotechnical software.

Responsibilities

• Manage geotechnical projects from proposal through completion on schedule and budget.
• Develop scopes, schedules, budgets, and work plans with field investigations.
• Plan subsurface investigations and review logs, lab tests, and data.
• Perform geotechnical analyses including foundations, liquefaction, and seismic assessments.
• Prepare and review Geotechnical Reports and design memoranda.
• Provide construction support and client communication.
• Collaborate with civil, structural, electrical, and survey teams.
