Job summary

Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) is seeking an Associate Project Consultant for our Building Technology division in Waltham, MA. You will support design, evaluation, and repairs for existing buildings under the supervision of a licensed engineer, with emphasis on durability, energy efficiency, and weather resistance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in architectural or civil/structural engineering, up to 5 years of experience, and a passion for learning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Architectural Engineering or Bachelor of Science in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• 0 to 5 years of experience, EIT preferred.
• Demonstrated interest in building construction and solving engineering problems.
• Commitment to lifelong learning and enthusiasm for the work.
• Experience in AutoCAD or Revit is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with new design, evaluation, investigation, and design of repairs for existing buildings.
• Under the direction of a licensed engineer, contribute to project tasks and technical analyses.
• Be able to climb ladders and scaffolds, work at great heights, and travel to multiple job sites.
