Simpson Gumpertz & Heger (SGH) is seeking a Geotechnical/Structural Engineer to join our nationwide team in New York. You will lead investigations, analyses, and the design of foundations, earth retaining structures, and related systems, while coordinating with clients and internal experts.

The role requires 5+ years of civil engineering experience, a professional license, and an ABET-accredited MS or Ph.D. in Geotechnical or Structural Engineering.

Qualifications

• This role requires advanced geotechnical and structural expertise with integration of diverse technical inputs.
• Demonstrated knowledge of soil and foundation analysis, forensic evaluation, and project leadership.

Responsibilities

• Lead investigations, analyses, and design reviews for foundations and earth structures.
• Coordinate with clients and project teams, manage scope, and supervise staff.
• Prepare proposals, budgets, and technical reports with minimal supervision.
• Contribute to technical trainings and client discussions.
