Job summary

Terracon is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Engineer Operations Lead to join our Gulf Coast Region in Mobile, AL. This leadership role oversees proposals, resources, safety, and project delivery to meet client requirements and company standards.

You will drive business development, supervise staff, and ensure profitability while maintaining a strong safety culture and high-quality work product across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with 5 years' experience or 9 years' related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Master's degree or PhD is preferred.
• A valid driver's license with acceptable driving history.

Responsibilities

• Prepare proposals and cost estimates for projects of varying complexity.
• Direct short-range business development to ensure adequate fees and manpower.
• Plan and execute recruitment, training, and development of department staff.
• Prepare and execute the department annual business plan.
• Oversee key metrics: revenue growth, billing, collections, and profitability.
• Understand project risk and company risk policies.
• Lead safety efforts and promote a safe work environment.
• Monitor quality standards and project delivery.
• Provide consistent quality on projects and proposals.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
