Job summary

Terracon seeks an experienced Regional Technical Consultant - Geotechnical to lead the Gulf Coast geotechnical service line. This role can sit in any Gulf Coast office and will oversee regional operations, standardize policies, and support growth across eight offices in LA, MS and AL.

The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, develop training, support client development, and recruit geotechnical professionals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• 12+ years of related experience in Geotechnical Engineering, particularly in consulting.
• Professional Registration License in Louisiana, Mississippi or Alabama is required with the ability to obtain a Professional Registration in other states preferred.
• Master's Degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering preferred.

Responsibilities

• Partner with departments and offices within the region by providing technical expertise and consulting to further the development of the geotechnical service line.
• Serve as the primary geotechnical subject matter expert, resource, and point of contact to office and department personnel within the region.
• Develop, refine, and recommend policies, practices and procedures for the geotechnical service line to drive uniformity and standardization across the region.
• Assist in the development of projects, business and clients; participate in client development and pursuit strategy activities.
• Develop and deliver technical training for the service line including drilling and sampling techniques, lab testing standards, engineering analysis, and field best practices.
