Job summary

Intertek is seeking an Experienced Geotechnical Lab Technician II in Houston, Texas to perform construction materials testing and site observations under supervision. This role involves operating testing equipment, documenting results, and supporting geotechnical projects within a dynamic A/E/C environment.

The candidate should have 3+ years of geotechnical lab experience, strong ASTM knowledge, and the ability to handle physical work, travel as needed, and pass pre-employment screening.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of geotechnical laboratory testing experience.
• ASTM soil testing experience including Atterberg Limits, Sieve Analysis, Proctor, UC strength, Triaxial, Consolidation, Swell, Permeability, CBR.

Responsibilities

• Operate geotechnical lab testing equipment and perform tests independently or with minimal supervision.
• Review drawings, specifications, and diagrams to complete work.
• Maintain and calibrate standard laboratory equipment.
• Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results.
