Job summary

Intertek in Houston, TX is seeking a Senior Field Technician to join our PSI team for testing and observation duties in the A/E/C industry. The role involves site assessments, data reporting, and coordination with clients and project teams.

The ideal candidate has 5 years of field testing experience, relevant certifications, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel up to 25% with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 5 years' experience as a field technician / inspector in construction materials testing.
• Valid driver's license and reliable driving record.
• Ability to travel up to 25%.
• Ability to work off shifts and overtime.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds frequently; over 50 pounds with assistance.
• Ability to walk and stand for long periods; climb occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain and calibrate testing equipment and conduct soil and/or concrete testing with data reporting.
• Read and interpret plans and specifications; use drawings and diagrams to guide testing.
• Observe site activities and perform complex tasks under supervision or controlled procedures.
• Provide detailed observations and interpretations of results; maintain documentation of test data.
• Communicate with clients and project teams and attend project meetings.
