Job summary

Intertek Building & Construction in Houston, Texas is seeking an Experienced Geotechnical Lab Technician II to join our team. You will perform geotechnical lab testing and site observations under supervision, contributing to critical civil and commercial construction projects.

This role requires ASTM soil testing knowledge (Atterberg Limits, Sieve Analysis, UC strength, Triaxial tests), strong documentation, and the ability to work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; higher degree is a plus.
• Minimum 3 years geotechnical lab testing experience.
• ASTM soil testing experience including Atterberg Limits, Sieve Analysis, Proctor, UC, Triaxial, Consolidation, Swell, Permeability, CBR.

Responsibilities

• Operate geotechnical lab testing equipment independently or with assistance.
• Use drawings, specifications and diagrams to complete work.
• Maintain and calibrate equipment and document test results in detail.
