The Lab Manager will lead geotechnical soils laboratory testing and supervise daily lab operations, ensuring accreditation and high-quality results for challenging infrastructure projects. This role requires strong communication, collaboration, and adherence to safety and QA policies.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of laboratory experience required.
• Experience supervising and reviewing lab technicians.
• Geotechnical soils lab testing preferred.
• WAQTC, ACI, NICET, and HAZWOPER certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical soils laboratory testing, including gradations, swell, Atterberg limits, compaction, triaxial strength, consolidation, ring shear, and other advanced tests.
• Maintain laboratory accreditation, certifications, and calibrations.
• Use and maintain scientific testing equipment.
• Process test data using computer software.
• Communicate test progress and present test results.
• Ensure that laboratory testing practices comply with applicable standards and industry practices.
• Supervise and review the work of lab technicians.
• Interact and communicate with clients, vendors, and staff at all levels.
• Follow Shannon & Wilson's Quality Assurance policy.
• Follow and promote Shannon & Wilson's Health and Safety and Loss Prevention policies.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.
