Job summary

Bunnell-Lammons Engineering, Inc. in Columbia, SC, seeks a Geotechnical Group Lead to oversee our geotechnical engineering practice, provide technical leadership, and mentor staff on testing, analysis, and reporting.

You will manage projects, expand client relationships, and pursue business development within transportation and infrastructure markets while ensuring quality, budget, and schedule performance.

Qualifications

• FE certification is required; PE licensure preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field required.
• 7+ years in construction materials testing; 3+ years in a leadership role.
• Familiar with ASTM, AASHTO, DOT and local testing standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of geotechnical engineers and field staff.
• Serve as senior technical advisor for geotechnical investigations and design.
• Oversee project execution including quality, budget, and schedule.
• Develop and coach team members for professional growth.
• Identify and pursue business development in transportation and infrastructure markets.
• Maintain client relationships and act as primary contact.
