Job summary

ARM Group LLC is seeking a Construction Field Technician for our Geotechnical & Construction Testing practice area. In this role, you will collaborate with a team of engineers and scientists to provide field-based observation and testing during study, implementation, and construction phases.

Travel to various projects across our service area is expected. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, the ability to perform both independent fieldwork and team tasks, and a willingness

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Valid Driver's License in good standing.
• Ability to travel to and from job sites, including potentially overnight stay.
• Team oriented with the ability to perform independent hands-on fieldwork.
• A self-starter possessing strong verbal and written communication skills, basic computer skills, strong work ethic, and organizational skills.
• Associate's degree or certificate in Computer-Aided Drafting, Engineering Technology, or a related field.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction quality assurance / construction quality control field inspections.
• Conduct material laboratory quality control testing.
• Perform density testing, and observation of soil placement.
• Perform field testing of concrete, soil/aggregate/bituminous paving materials.
• Monitoring subsurface investigations including exploratory borings, geoprobing, and environmental sampling.
• Monitor foundation/geotechnical and related construction activities.
• Prepare daily field reports and test summaries documenting the work being performed in a timely fashion.
• Effectively communicate with key stake holders including project managers, project engineers, contractors and others depending on the project and job tasks.
