GeoWerks Engineering, a geotechnical, civil, and environmental engineering firm, seeks a Construction Materials Testing Field Technician for the Atlanta metropolitan area. The role involves unsupervised on-site testing and inspection of construction materials under supervision of a PE or PM.

Responsibilities include field testing of concrete, soil, asphalt, and masonry to standards, sample collection, inspections, documentation, and collaboration with crews.

Formación

• ACl Certification - Grade 1 required.
• Familiarity with soil density testing; field or lab testing experience preferred.
• Ability to read project plans and specifications.
• Strong English communication and numeracy skills.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct QC tests on concrete, soil, asphalt, and masonry per ASTM, AASHTO, and ACI standards.
• Collect and analyse material samples according to project specifications.
• Perform quality control inspections to verify adherence to contract and safety standards.
• Maintain detailed, accurate records of observations and prepare technical reports.
• Coordinate with construction crews, engineers, and project managers to resolve quality issues.
• Assist with laboratory sample preparation and analysis when required.
