First Roles is seeking a Junior Geotechnical Technician to join our engineering team. In this entry-level role, you will perform field and laboratory soil testing and analyze subsurface conditions to support foundation designs and site recommendations.

You will collect samples, log soil profiles, and assist engineers with preliminary testing summaries. The position requires outdoor work, a valid driver's license, and the ability to handle equipment safely on active construction sites.

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of soil mechanics and field data recording.
• Outdoor work ability and comfort on active construction sites.
• Valid driver's license; ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Certifications (ACI, NICET) are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Perform field soil testing and sampling.
• Conduct laboratory soil and aggregate tests per ASTM/AASHTO.
• Record observations and log soil profiles for analyses.
• Assist engineers with subsurface exploration logs and summaries.
• Maintain and calibrate field and lab equipment.
