Job summary

GEI Consultants, Inc. seeks motivated geotechnical and construction engineering technicians for casual-on-call roles across multiple sites, including Michigan.

You will perform inspection, testing, and data collection on soils, concrete, and related materials, supporting subsurface exploration and field operations for municipal, commercial, industrial, and federal projects. Ideal candidates hold a high school diploma (AS/BS preferred), a valid driver’s license, and relevant experience; ACI

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; AS/BS preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Experience in soils, concrete, paving inspection and testing.
• ACI soil or concrete testing certification preferred or ability to obtain.
• Willing to travel for temporary field assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical and construction engineering technician inspection and testing duties.
• Support geotechnical engineering/construction services team on subsurface exploration and field testing.
• Document construction activities per project specs and drawings.
• Conduct laboratory testing of soil and concrete materials.
