Job summary

GEI Consultants is seeking an Entry Level Geotechnical Engineer in Allendale, Michigan. You will assist with subsurface explorations, field oversight, and geotechnical report development, supporting MSE/SOE and foundation design.

Strong communication and teamwork are essential, with opportunities for leadership and growth. This role requires a BS/MS in Geotechnical Engineering, FE exam, and willingness to travel for field assignments.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited college.
• 0-5 years of experience.
• Must have passed the FE exam.
• Demonstrate experience in leadership roles and industry knowledge.
• Ability to assist with exploration and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with clients to schedule and perform subsurface explorations.
• Direct and oversee drilling subcontractors during exploration.
• Perform visual classifications and assign lab testing on samples.
• Develop geotechnical engineering reports in support of project design.
• Support geotechnical and Geostructural design teams on projects.
• Perform construction oversight on GEI design projects.
