Job summary

GEI Consultants is seeking motivated individuals to perform geotechnical and construction engineering technician inspection and testing as casual-on-call staff on short and long-term projects across multiple locations.

Responsibilities include laboratory testing of soils and concrete, overseeing subsurface exploration, and documenting field activities to ensure alignment with project specs on municipal, commercial, industrial, and federal work.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; AS/BS degrees or related field preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Experience in construction inspection and testing (soils, concrete, bituminous paving).
• ACI soil or concrete testing certification or ability to obtain certification.
• Previous Resident Engineering Experience is a plus.
• Willing to travel on temporary assignments as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical inspection and testing duties on multiple projects.
• Support lab testing of soils and concrete and oversee subsurface exploration activities.
• Document construction activities to ensure compliance with project specs.
• Collect and analyze materials data for various municipal, commercial, industrial and federal projects.

ACI soil/concrete testing cert

Resident Engineering Experience
