Job summary

Commercial Metals Company (CMC) is seeking a Geotechnical/Structural Engineer to support design-build solutions and RAP designs, performing project feasibility analyses and technical analyses for complex geotechnical projects.

You will collaborate with Area Managers, prepare calculations, review drawings, and deliver presentations on RAP designs and other geotechnical solutions. A BS in Civil Engineering is required, with an MS preferred and 2+ years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering required; MS in geotechnical engineering preferred.
• EIT or PE preferred.
• 2+ years in geotechnical/structural engineering.
• Strong soil mechanics and loading knowledge.
• Ability to read and interpret project documents and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Provide project-specific technical guidance for Geopier design-build solutions.
• Collaborate with Area Managers on engineering analyses and design reviews.
• Prepare or review engineering calculations and establish project direction.
• Support Design Center reviews with slope stability and geotechnical analyses for RAP designs.
• Assist in troubleshooting construction challenges and design issues.
• Review and approve RAP and other system designs.
• Deliver technical presentations at meetings and workshops.
