Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group, LLC seeks a Geotechnical Engineering Intern to support design and construction activities for large energy infrastructure projects, including substations and transmission lines. You will assist with geotechnical site characterization, reports, and foundation design drawings under mentoring engineers.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field.
• Completed coursework in geotechnical, structures, concrete, steel.

Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and executing geotechnical characterization programs.
• Assist in preparing geotechnical characterization reports.
• Assist in preparing foundation design drawings and specifications.
• Assist in geotechnical data processing and data analysis.
• Assist in analysis and develop of design recommendations associated with shallow and deep foundations.
• Participate in developing cost estimates and project documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers and construction managers to ensure project goals are met.
• Perform basic research and prepare reports or presentations as needed.
• Attend team meetings and learn about design-build (DB) and engineer-procure-construct (EPC) delivery methods.
