Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group, LLC is seeking a Geological Engineering Intern to support design and construction activities for large energy infrastructure projects. You will assist with geological site characterization, geologic risk analysis, and subsurface characterization for foundations, primarily in an office setting with occasional site visits.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field with a focus on structural design.
• Completed coursework in civil engineering fundamentals such as geotechnical, structures, concrete, and steel.
• Familiarity with structural modeling software (LPILE, GROUP, SHAFT).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; ability to work collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Assist with desktop-based geologic research using public and private sources.
• Support data collection and interpretation from geotechnical characterization programs.
• Assist in geological and geotechnical data processing and analysis.
• Help develop geologic and geotechnical project documentation.
• Collaborate with engineers and construction managers to meet project goals.
• Conduct basic research and prepare reports or presentations as needed.
• Attend team meetings and learn DB and EPC delivery methods.
