Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services is seeking a Geotechnical Intern/Co-op in Parsippany, NJ. You will support field investigations, collect samples, and assist with analyses under geotechnical leadership. This role provides exposure to site feasibility studies, reports, and design documentation.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Civil/Geotechnical degree with strong writing, analytical, and teamwork skills. Travel may be required; relocation is not provided.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year or advanced degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and MS Office is expected.

Responsibilities

• Assist with field investigations, including logging borings and test pits and data collection.
• Observe foundation and earthwork activities and ensure conformance with plans.
• Prepare logs, field forms, and chain-of-custody records.
• Support engineering calculations and learn geotechnical software.
• Prepare reports, figures, and plans using AutoCAD.
