Job summary

Langan is seeking a Intern/Co-op – Geotechnical Engineering for Summer 2027 in Philadelphia, PA. You will assist with field investigations, data collection, and support engineering teams on diverse geotechnical projects.

The internship provides hands-on exposure to site feasibility studies, report preparation, and calculations, with mentorship from geotechnical leadership and opportunities to gain experience in AutoCAD and fieldwork.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year or advanced degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and execution of field investigations and data collection.
• Observe construction activities and ensure conformance with plans.
• Identify and implement field/lab problem solutions.
• Prepare logs, forms, and chain-of-custody documentation.
• Conduct site reconnaissance and document searches.
• Perform calculations and learn geotechnical analyses and software.
• Prepare reports, exhibits, and AutoCAD drawings.
• Assist with report writing and data presentation.
