Langan Engineering & Environmental Services is seeking a Staff Geotechnical Engineer to join our Parsippany, NJ team. You will plan and execute field investigations, monitor foundation and earthwork activities, and prepare geotechnical reports for high‑profile projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering is required.
• Master’s degree with Geotechnical specialty or intent to pursue is preferred.
• EIT or FE certification is required or in progress.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute field investigations, log borings/test pits, and collect data.
• Observe foundation and earthwork construction for plan conformance.
• Identify and solve field and laboratory problems; prepare logs and forms.
• Prepare logs, daily reports, and chain-of-custody documentation.
• Review files, perform site reconnaissance, and document searches.
• Communicate issues clearly with supervisors on project sites.
• Perform other duties as requested.
