Job summary

Langan International, LLC seeks an Intern/Co-op - Geotechnical Engineering to join the team in Miami, FL or Fort Lauderdale, FL. You will assist with field investigations, site feasibility studies, and supporting technical report work under geotechnical leadership.

The role offers exposure to field work, calculations, and design support, with opportunities to learn AutoCAD and geotechnical software. Preference is given to juniors/seniors or MS degree students.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year or advanced degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering; Geotechnical coursework preferred.
• GPA of 3.0 or greater preferred.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and execution of field investigations, including logging borings and test pits, collecting samples, and recording data.
• Observe foundation and earthwork construction activities; monitor conformance with plans and specifications.
• Identify and implement solutions to field and/or laboratory problems.
• Prepare standard logs and field forms, including drilling and test pit logs and chain of custody logs.
• Conduct file reviews, site reconnaissance, and document searches.
• Perform calculations and learn engineering analyses; learn geotechnical software.
