Job summary

Langan is seeking an Intern/Co-op – Geotechnical Engineering in Chicago, IL. You will support diverse geotechnical projects, collaborate with leadership, and gain exposure to feasibility studies, field work, and report preparation.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Civil or Geotechnical Engineering degree with a 3.0+ GPA, and have working knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a 4-year or advanced degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering (GEO coursework preferred).
• GPA 3.0+ preferred.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and execution of field investigations (borings, test pits, data collection).
• Observe foundation and earthwork construction; monitor conformity with plans.
• Prepare logs, forms, and reports; perform basic calculations and learn geotechnical software.
