Qualifications

• Pursuing a 4-year or advanced degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• GPA of 3.0 or greater preferred.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Travel may be required based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning and execution of field investigations, including logging borings and test pits, collecting samples, and recording data.
• Observe foundation and earthwork construction activities; ensure conformance with plans and specs.
• Identify and implement solutions to field and laboratory problems.
• Prepare logs and field forms, including drilling/test pit logs and chain of custody records.
• Conduct site reconnaissance, document searches, and perform initial data reviews.
• Prepare reports, figures, and plans using AutoCAD; learn geotechnical software.
