Burns & McDonnell is seeking a Geotechnical Intern to assist senior engineers on design and field-related tasks. You will compile boring logs, subsurface profiles, and support subsurface exploration planning with hands-on project work.

The role emphasizes applying basic geotechnical concepts, collaborating with the team, and developing skills through real-world engineering tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifikationen

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited program.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Pursuit of Master’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering strongly preferred.
• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program related to the work.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.

Aufgaben

• Assist with filing, scanning, data entry, documentation and PowerPoint presentations.
• Help respond to general questions and support project tasks.
• Collect and analyze data for continuous improvement efforts.
• Present solutions to engineering concerns and research project problems.
• Support ad hoc projects assigned by managers.
