You will apply basic geotechnical concepts, gain hands-on field experience, and develop strong analytical and communication skills while contributing to multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuit of bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering from an accredited program.
• ABET accreditation strongly preferred.
• Pursuit of Master’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
• Currently enrolled and in good standing in a related program.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.
• Prior internship or related consulting experience preferred.
• Actively involved in campus or community activities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Self‑motivated and eager to learn.

Responsibilities

• Assist with geotechnical design from conceptual phase to design completion.
• Compile boring logs and subsurface profiles.
• Help plan subsurface explorations and lab testing programs.
• Support with data entry, documentation, and presentations.
• Research solutions to project concerns and propose viable options.
• Participate in ad hoc projects and process improvements.
• Adhere to all policies and standards.
