Ideal candidates have 4–7 years in geotechnical engineering, experience with foundations, and proficiency in lab soil analyses; EI registration is required with PE preferred.

Qualifications

• 4 to 7 years of experience in geotechnical or related engineering fields.
• Experience with deep and shallow foundations.
• EI registration required; PE registration preferred.
• ABET-accredited B.S. in Civil/Geotechnical Engineering.
• Experience with laboratory soil analyses.
• Strong report writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with geotechnical drilling subcontractors to execute field aspects of investigations.
• Perform soil and rock classifications and conduct laboratory analyses for geotechnical engineering purposes.
• Conduct field resistivity testing, foundation monitoring, hand auger testing, and field logging of soils as needed.
• Complete geotechnical engineering calculations for existing foundations and design of new foundation elements, pavements, and earth retention systems.
• Consult with internal and external related disciplines during analysis and report preparation phases.
• Prepare and compile technical reports and supporting documentation.
• Manage individual workload efficiently to meet project deadlines.
• Coordinate and oversee subcontract drillers, private utility locators, and other investigation aspects.
