Atlas is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer 2 to join our Geotechnical Engineering team in San Diego, CA. You will apply geotechnical engineering principles to projects including buildings, bridges, highways and other infrastructure, contributing to field investigations, reporting and project delivery.

The role emphasizes technical quality, safe field practices, and clear communication with clients and project teams.

Qualifications

• Geotechnical analyses and recommendations for foundations, earthwork, slopes, seepage, liquefaction and seismic conditions.
• Experience planning and supporting subsurface investigations and laboratory testing.
• Ability to document findings and communicate clearly for safety, quality, and design.

Responsibilities

• Perform geotechnical analyses and develop recommendations for foundations, earthwork, slopes, seepage, liquefaction and related design conditions
• Plan and support subsurface investigations, laboratory testing, instrumentation, monitoring, and field programs
• Observe foundation and earthwork construction and document field conditions that may affect safety, quality or design
• Prepare technical reports, calculations, recommendations and project deliverables
• Coordinate project resources, schedules, staff assignments and technical activities with senior team members
• Build productive relationships with clients and project partners and the local professional community
