Placements24 seeks a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join a hybrid Randburg team. Lead site investigations, analyze subsurface conditions, and guide foundation design across diverse projects with direct client interaction.

PE licensed with 7+ years in geotechnical engineering is required. Strong communication and leadership will drive project success and collaboration with structural teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering with a Geotechnical specialization.
• Minimum of 7 years of geotechnical engineering experience with focus on foundation design.
• PE license is required.
• Expertise in geotechnical software (Plaxis, GeoStudio) and site investigation techniques.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills for effective client and team interaction.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage geotechnical investigations, including site characterization and soil/rock mechanics analysis.
• Develop detailed foundation designs, including shallow and deep foundations, for various structures.
• Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports and provide expert technical consultation.
• Collaborate with structural engineers, architects, and clients to integrate geotechnical findings into project designs.
• Review construction methods and provide guidance on geotechnical aspects during the building phase.
