Responsibilities

• Operate in responsible charge for geotechnical engineering across various projects, involving complex site investigations, analysis, and design to deliver specific engineering solutions.
• Collaborate with project teams and ensure adherence to geotechnical specifications.
• Conduct site investigations to assess soil and rock conditions.
• Perform geotechnical analysis and calculations.
• Evaluate and design foundations, retaining structures, and slope stabilization systems.
• Design ground improvements to support construction loads.
• Monitor construction activities for compliance with geotechnical specifications.
• Prepare reports and recommendations.
• Manage project budgets and client invoicing.
• Maintain relationships with clients, officials, and contractors.
• Participate in meetings and business development.
• Prepare and review engineering analyses, plans, and reports.
• Perform quality control reviews of documentation.
• Develop relationships with local geotechnical engineers and testing companies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 10 years of experience in Geotechnical Engineering preferred.
• Experience with varying geologies, mainly in southeast and Texas regions.
• Professional Engineer (PE) License, with ability to license in relevant states.
• Strong engineering judgment and reasoning.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively and prioritize tasks.
• Innovative and strategic mindset.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and geotechnical software.
• Willingness to travel as needed.
