Job Description

The responsibilities include:

1. Analyzing and presenting field and laboratory data using software like gINT, Excel, and Sigma Plot.
2. Performing geotechnical analyses, including soil characterization, stability, liquefaction, and consolidation, using software such as SEEP/W and SLOPE/W.
3. Designing foundation systems, estimating settlements, and assessing pile capacities.
4. Coordinating geotechnical laboratory testing and subsurface exploration programs.
5. Conducting geophysical investigations and interpreting survey results.
6. Reviewing geotechnical, geological, and hydrogeological data for project needs.
7. Developing models, specifications, and construction drawings for geotechnical projects, including by-product disposal sites.
8. Monitoring subsurface movements and analyzing in-situ test data.
9. Performing inspections and drafting reports for geotechnical projects.
10. Assisting with project management, proposals, and business development.
11. Presenting technical findings verbally and in writing.

Qualifications

Requires a Master’s degree in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Geotechnical Engineering, including coursework and experience in seepage analysis, slope stability, and soil behavior. Experience can be pre- or post-degree.
