EBA Engineering, Inc. is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Driller to join our field team in the Mid-Atlantic region.

You will operate and maintain drilling rigs, perform soil borings, rock coring, groundwater installations, and other subsurface investigations at diverse sites, while ensuring sample integrity and compliance with project specifications. You will collaborate with geotechnical engineers, geologists, and field staff, interpret drilling plans, complete logs and reports, and travel

Competenze

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years of experience operating geotechnical drilling equipment and performing subsurface investigations.
• Valid CDL or ability to obtain one within timeframe.
• Experience with soil sampling, rock coring, monitoring well installation, and related drilling activities.
• Knowledge of drilling methods: hollow-stem auger, mud rotary, rock coring.
• Ability to read boring location plans, utility mark-outs, and project specs.
• OSHA safety standards and safe drilling practices familiarity.
• Mechanical aptitude and equipment maintenance experience.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work on uneven terrain.
• Willingness to travel and work overtime, including overnight assignments.

Mansioni

• Operate and maintain truck-mounted, track-mounted, and ATV-mounted drilling rigs and equipment.
• Perform soil borings, rock coring, groundwater monitoring well installations, test pits, and other subsurface investigations.
• Collect, label, document, and preserve soil, rock, groundwater, and environmental samples.
• Collaborate with geotechnical engineers, geologists, environmental scientists, and field personnel.
• Read and interpret drilling plans, boring layouts, and project specs.
• Complete field logs, drilling reports, and safety and maintenance records.
• Ensure proper handling, transport, and storage of samples and equipment.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain drilling rigs and tooling.
• Mobilize/demobilize equipment to project sites; conduct site safety checks.
• Maintain OSHA and health/safety plan compliance; communicate with stakeholders.
• Assist in training drill helpers and junior field personnel.
• Travel regionally to project locations; perform additional duties as needed.
