Job summary

ECS Southeast, LLP is seeking a field technician to perform penetrometer testing, borings, and geoprobes in client projects across multiple sites. You will locate borings, record data, and report issues to the project manager, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Responsibilities include operating drill rigs and support trucks, maintaining safety practices, completing field paperwork, and keeping equipment clean and functional. Some travel and non-standard hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 0–3 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard penetrometer testing and geotechnical borings.
• Locate borings in the field and record drilling data.
• Report issues to project manager and supervisor.
• Operate and maintain drill rig and support vehicles.
• Follow safety procedures to maintain a safe crew environment.
• Load supplies daily and complete time sheets.
• Care for and clean equipment and vehicles.
• Maintain professional behavior and quality standards.
• Willingness to work out of town and non-standard schedules.
• Other duties as assigned.
