Bacon Farmer Workman Engineering & Testing, Inc. in Paducah, KY is seeking a Geotechnical Driller to operate drilling rigs for geotechnical test borings and to collect soil and rock samples for analysis.

You will lead and coordinate in-house drilling operations, supervise crew members, ensure adherence to project specifications, and uphold safety procedures while traveling as needed to field sites. This role offers full-time employment with opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 2–4 years geotechnical drilling experience required.
• Physically demanding outdoor work; ability to lift 80+ lbs.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• Willingness to travel and work flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain drilling rigs and equipment for geotechnical test borings.
• Collect and document soil and rock samples for analysis.
• Ensure drilling functions meet project specifications, QA/QC, and contract documents.
• Follow safety procedures and company guidelines.
• Lead and coordinate in-house drilling operations, including crew supervision, scheduling, and field execution.
• Foster a professional, accountable, and respectful team environment.
