Job summary

Stantec in Lexington, KY seeks a Driller’s Helper to assist the driller with solid stem and hollow stem auger drilling, rock coring, and monitoring well installations on construction sites. Work is outdoors in all weather; physical demanding but rewarding.

You will move and set up drilling rigs, label samples, and support field crews; requires ability to lift up to 80 lbs, valid email communication, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate via email.
• Mechanical skills preferred.
• Class A CDL license preferred but not required.
• Must obtain DOT medical card and pass drug screening.
• Clean driving record per company standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist driller with drilling techniques and equipment setup.
• Move, load and unload drilling rigs and materials up to 80 lbs.
• Label and prepare sample containers for analysis.
• Assist with installation of monitoring wells and related instrumentation.
• Perform site duties and basic maintenance on equipment.
• Complete computer-based training as needed.
• Support field crew with transportation of supplies and samples.
