Job summary

STV, Inc. is seeking a Full-Time Geotechnical Driller in Glasgow, KY to support drilling operations for geotechnical investigations. You will assist the Driller, operate equipment for borings, and travel as needed to project sites.

The role requires physical work, the ability to lift heavy loads, and willingness to work in varied weather and terrain. Prior drilling exposure and the ability to drive a non-automatic truck are important.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Clear verbal and written communication for field reports and boring logs; basic math for depths and volumes.
• Ability to drive non-automatic truck.
• Ability to pull trailers up to 16 feet.
• Lift 50 pounds 50 times per day; occasional 150 pounds weekly.
• Work outdoors in all weather, near construction equipment and dirt/grease.
• Walk varied terrain and bend/kneel daily.
• Out-of-town travel is common.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine drilling support tasks for geotechnical investigations.
• Assist Driller with drilling tasks, equipment setup, material transport, and logs.
• Dozer operation limited to access for drilling (training provided).
• Assist with routine maintenance on drilling equipment.
