As the Department Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our Geotechnical and CMT operations—from project execution and client relations to team leadership and strategic planning. You'll work closely with senior leadership and have a clear path to advancement, including the opportunity to progress into the Texas lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a multidisciplinary team of geotechnical engineers, technicians, and project managers.
- Oversee geotechnical investigations, laboratory testing, and construction materials testing services.
- Maintain and grow client relationships, ensuring high-quality service delivery.
- Drive department growth through strategic planning, business development, and operational excellence.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control protocols.
- Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative, high-performance culture.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Texas.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering and/or CMT, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong technical knowledge, project management skills, and business acumen.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
