Job Summary
The Geotechnical Department Manager is responsible for overseeing all operations within the geotechnical department, including managing a team of engineers and technicians, ensuring high-quality technical work, and meeting project deadlines. This role involves both leadership and technical expertise, with a focus on client relations, project management, and department growth.
Job Responsibilities
Job Skills & Requirements
· Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
· Professional Engineer (PE) license required (or ability to obtain).
· Strong knowledge of geotechnical investigation techniques, foundation design, and soil mechanics.
· Experience with geotechnical software (e.g., gINT, PLAXIS, GeoStudio) and Microsoft Office Suite.
· Strong ability to lead and supervise others.
· Excellent time management skills to effectively prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with the team members, management, and clients.
· Experience leading projects successfully.
· Exceptional problem-solving skills to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
· Attention to detail.
· Strong teamwork, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
· Basic computer skills such as Word and Excel.
· Clean MVR, background, and drug screening.
· Valid driver's license.
· Tasks assigned by the supervisor or manager.
