Colliers Engineering & Design is expanding its geotechnical services in Arizona and seeks a Geotechnical Department Manager to lead growth from Phoenix/WEST Valley or Gilbert offices. You will guide complex projects, develop client partnerships, and shape the future of our geotechnical practice in the region.

Qualifications

• Requires PE license; PG considered for strong candidates.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• 10+ years of geotechnical engineering leadership and project management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee geotechnical operations and QA/QC across investigations, analyses, and deliverables.
• Establish long-range objectives, staffing plans, and development goals for the team.
• Lead foundation design, slope stability, earth retention, ground improvement, and field programs.
• Develop and support marketing and business development aligned with geotechnical offerings.
• Advise multidisciplinary teams on geotechnical insights for structural, civil, environmental, and transportation projects.
• Manage project execution and financial performance to ensure profitability and efficiency.
• Monitor productivity, utilization, and workloads; adjust resources as needed.
• Assign projects and coordinate staffing to balance workloads and meet deadlines.
• Evaluate employee performance per company policies and growth objectives.
