Job summary

Langan Engineering & Environmental Services in Phoenix, Arizona seeks a Project Geotechnical Engineer / Project Manager to provide geotechnical expertise, manage projects, and mentor staff.

The role involves cross-functional collaboration on small and large geotechnical projects, client interfacing, and ensuring timely deliverables while adhering to budgets and codes. Travel may be required based on project assignments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in civil/geotechnical engineering.
• Master's degree with geotechnical emphasis preferred.
• Professional Engineer licensure required.
• 6+ years of geotechnical experience including field work and design.
• Experience in reports, specifications, and project management.
• Knowledge of codes and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex analyses, design pile elements and underpinning systems.
• Prepare technical documents, reports, construction drawings and related correspondence.
• Supervise field investigations, earthwork and foundation construction activities.
• Manage multiple projects within budgets, schedules, and deadlines.
• Plan and manage budgets, prepare progress reports, change orders, and invoices.
• Travel may be required based on project needs.
