Core & Main, based in St. Louis, is a leading specialty distributor serving water, wastewater, storm drainage, and fire protection markets nationwide.

The Sales Consultant role focuses on growing sales, prospecting new accounts, retaining existing ones, and expanding opportunities with current customers. A motor vehicle report is required and operation of a company or personal vehicle is expected more than 20% of the work week.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a related discipline required.
• 2–5 years of experience in a related field; certification may be required in some areas.
• Geosynthetic knowledge is a plus.
• Certification is required in some areas.

Responsibilities

• Conducts on-site customer visits with new and existing customers.
• Manages sales volume with an existing group of customers and expands the base.
• Forecasts, prospects, and bids for new business with customers and markets.
• Maintains and builds customer partnerships and relationships with key decision makers.
• Partners with customers, vendors, Credit, and A/R to resolve service issues and coordinates orders.
