Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in software engineering or computer science.
• 3-5 years of recent and related work experience.
• Experience with web design, administration, and database-driven applications.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks and libraries such as React, jQuery, OpenLayers, and Leaflet, with strong proficiency in HTML and CSS.
• Experience with Python and PHP.
• Experience with databases such as MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Experience with security concepts and collaboration software.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain websites and mapping applications for visualizing and distributing geospatial data.
• Develop Python scripts that produce geospatial data products.
• Support a diverse array of technologies including PHP, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and XML.
• Collaborate with a skilled web development team supporting the USGS EROS Integrated Science Applications Branch.
