Job summary

KBR is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to develop and maintain websites and mapping applications for geospatial data. You will write Python scripts to produce geospatial data products and support PHP, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and XML within a team supporting the USGS EROS Integrated Science Applications Branch.

Qualifications include a software engineering or CS bachelor's, 3–5 years of related experience, and strong skills in web design, JavaScript frameworks, and databases.

Qualifications

• Education with software engineering or computer science bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 3–5 years of related work experience.
• Experience with web design, administration, and database-driven applications.
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks (React, jQuery, OpenLayers, Leaflet) and strong HTML/CSS.
• Experience with Python and PHP.
• Experience with databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with security concepts.
• Experience with collaboration software.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Understanding of software engineering methodologies and processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain websites and mapping applications for visualizing and distributing geospatial data.
• Develop Python scripts that produce geospatial data products.
• Support technologies including, but not limited to PHP, Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and XML.
• Interact with a skilled web development team that supports the USGS EROS Integrated Science Applications Branch.
