Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Project Manager for our geospatial, solutions, and analytics team in our Fairfax, VA office. You will serve as the technical lead for GIS applications for utility clients and support project managers in planning, executing, and delivering GIS projects.

This hybrid role requires in-office presence in Dewberry’s Fairfax, VA headquarters 2-3 days per week and travel to client sites and industry events about 25% of the time.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a geospatial or data science field or related area.
• 5+ years’ experience with Esri technology including ArcGIS Pro, Experience Builder, and StoryMaps.
• Proficiency with ETL tools such as FME or Microsoft Power Automate.
• Familiarity with CMMS/EAM platforms and GIS integrations.
• Ability to work independently and in agile teams; strong organizational skills.
• Experience with Esri Utility Network is strongly desired.
• Proficiency in technical writing and collaboration with teams.

Responsibilities

• GIS technical work lead across project teams: data development, mapping, analysis, and system integration for utility/public works clients.
• Review GIS deliverables for technical accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
• Support enterprise GIS integration efforts and mentoring junior GIS staff.
• Assist in day-to-day project execution: task coordination, schedule tracking, issue resolution.
• Engage in business development: client relationships, proposal writing, and technical capture on local/state opportunities.
