Job summary

Dewberry is seeking a Project Manager for our geospatial, solutions, and analytics team in the Fairfax, VA office. The role blends project coordination, GIS work and client-facing support across a multidisciplinary firm with growth opportunities.

The position is hybrid, requiring in-office presence 2–3 days/week in Fairfax with travel to client sites about 25% of the time, and offers exposure to the latest geospatial technology in a leading professional services environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, data science, geography or other relevant geospatial field.
5+ years’ experience with Esri technology including ArcGIS Pro, Experience Builder, and StoryMaps.
Proficiency with ETL tools such as FME or Microsoft Power Automate.
Familiarity with CMMS and EAM platforms and GIS integrations.
Agile software development experience.
Experience with Esri Utility Network implementation.
Proficiency in technical writing.
Collaborative and team-oriented leadership style.

Responsibilities

Lead GIS technical activities across project teams delivering data development, mapping, analysis and system integration for utility and public works clients.
Review GIS deliverables for technical accuracy and alignment with project requirements.
Support integration efforts involving enterprise GIS, CMMS/EAM, databases and other platforms.
Provide mentorship and guidance to junior GIS staff.
Assist the Project Manager with day-to-day execution, scheduling, and issue resolution.
Communicate progress with client technical and nontechnical staff.
Support proposal writing and serve as technical capture manager on local/state efforts.
Develop communication materials such as blogs, white papers and presentations.
